Cantor Roytman’s mission as hazzan is to interpret the prayer and to promote Jewish music through innovative quality worship and performance. He serves as cantor at Beth Hillel Congregation B’nai Emunah in Wilmette Illinois. Cantor Roytman is a member of the Cantors Assembly, the American Conference of Cantors, and the Chicago-Milwaukee Association of Synagogue Musicians.


Cantor Roytman is an experienced conductor, arranger, and interpreter of traditional and contemporary Jewish Choral Music. He is a principal conductor for Kol Zimrah Community Singers, Chicago’s primer Jewish Community Choir.


Cantor Roytman is a well-known performer and interpreter of Yiddish folk songs and songs of the Yiddish Theater. He often appears in concerts accompanied by Chicago’s leading Klezmer ensembles, The Maxwell Street Klezmer Band and the Tum Balalaika Band.
